Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As an Episcopal school, NCS welcomes students, families, faculty, and staff of all faiths and backgrounds. Woven into this pluralistic approach is our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

We bring this commitment to life by providing students with opportunities to learn from one another and to develop a deep understanding of the world around them.

  • Through our thoughtfully curated curriculum, Coordinate Program, and array of extra- and co-curricular activities, students gain exposure to a wide variety of perspectives, experiences, and ideas.

  • Our Center for Ethical Leadership & Service provides students with the opportunity to build an understanding of themselves, their own community, and communities around the world.

  • Our expert educators, counselors, chaplains, coaches, and advisors strive to foster inclusive spaces so that all members of the NCS community feel a deep sense of belonging and respect for the dignity of every human being.

Defining the Power of Young Women

Every NCS student is unique and so is the power she holds within herself. At NCS, we believe power takes many forms. It can be obvious, subtle, individual, collective, intellectual, emotional, artistic, showing up in different combinations for different people and purposes. Our goal is to help each student uncover and build the power that only she possesses, so that she can achieve her aspirations and change the world.

Uncovering each student's power involves discovering who she is, identifying her passions, forging her sense of self, and determining how she wants to show up in the world. As students tap into their powers, they become confident advocates, empathetic leaders, change makers, problem solvers, and resilient learners.
